The International Exhibition on Tourism &
Handicrafts of the Islamic World
To be organized in the
form of an artisan village that will include
products and items form various countries
including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the host
country. The objective of this market is mainly to
inform visitors and participants on the special
promotion aimed at handicrafts in these countries
that contribute in stimulating tourism and commerce among
member countries of this Conference, also to
provide opportunities for all private sector
establishments specialized in marketing
handicrafts and participants in this Bazaar to
trade and forge commercial deals benefiting both
producers and consumers. Note that each company
will bare the expenses for
participation, while benefiting from discounts in
accommodation provided by partner hotels In
addition to transport and installation fees for
their products to be displayed at selected
interaction points in the Bazaar. Undoubtedly
these promotions will attract international bodies
and the private sector in the fields of
design,
architecture and culture to keep in touch on this
matter, this will include artisans performing
their work as if they were home, and where
visitors can get to know participating handicrafts
from all countries, this also involves positive
exchanges between artisans in the field of
experiences, design, raw materials, and
aesthetics
…etc. that will attract visitors and tourism
delegations to get to know the various types of
traditional ornamentation, gold leafing, and
binding of the Holly Qur'an, and the art of EBRO
and hand made Paper, architectural mashrabiias and
stained glass, ceramics and pottery, silver and
metal works, carving, embroidery, traditional gowns,
tapestries and other fields that expresses high
level contribution of the Islamic culture
throughout the ages.

Master
piece & Traditional Handicrafts of the Islamic
World Exhibition
Every participating
country is to submit some of its exceptional and
distinguished handicrafts to be displayed in a
special exhibition on the cultural heritage of the
Islamic World, the displayed item should be
properly described and detailed in drawings, while
describing techniques used in production,
materials, colors, and all necessary information.
An opportunity for the participation of private
collectors is allowed through the display of
selected items from their collections.
3. Publications
on Handicrafts in the Islamic World
Exhibition:
All Member states of OIC
are invited to participate in the Exhibition by
sending copies of books, catalogues, albums,
documentaries published in the field of
traditional industries in their respective
countries, in addition to any film slides,
posters, pictures, or brochures are to be
displayed in the participating countries' stand.
These publications will form the
nuclei for the establishment of a specialized
library on all materials published in the field of
traditional industries in the Islamic
World,

International Award for Creativity in Crafts for
artisan innovators of the Islamic World:
This award is aimed at
encouraging innovation among artisans to motivate
competitiveness to revive creativity in this field
which distinguishes us from other societies and
which we cherish. This will be done through
awarding a prize for outstanding artisans, to
facilitate creative thinking among the artisans of
the Islamic World, to motivate them in
establishing links and circulating innovation to
ensures the continuous contribution of this vital
sector, and for being a cultural, economic,
tourism, and heritage resource for member
countries. The award also aims at presenting the
works of outstanding artisans from various
regions, establishing links between artisans of member
countries which will help getting acquainted with
each other's skills and experiences.
